Residential Service Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions

1. I agree to pay to Idaho Falls Fiber a monthly fiber infrastructure access charge (currently $25 for a residential home or $12.50 for a multi-dwelling units of 4 or more) during the term of service. I understand this fee will be applied to my monthly city utility bill after installation/activation.

2. I understand that the monthly fiber infrastructure access charge is solely for access to Idaho Falls Fiber Network.

3. I understand that the monthly fiber infrastructure access charge does not include an internet or telecommunications charge from the Internet Service Providers (ISP) that I selected at sign up but is billed separately by the ISP.

4. I agree and understand that I am responsible to pay the ISP provider I selected for the services I have chosen, and this is not the responsibility of Idaho Falls Fiber or the City.

5. I agree that all services received from this network and my authorized internet provider are for my personal and/or business use and I agree not to resell, retail, repackage for sale, distribute, or wholesale distribute these internet services commercially.

6. I agree that by signing up for fiber optic internet service through Idaho Falls Fiber, I agree to be contacted by Idaho Falls Fiber regarding the installation process and receive customer satisfaction surveys from time to time

 

The City of Idaho Falls, Idaho Falls Power, and Idaho Falls Fiber Network all reserve the right to use a portion of fiber connection bandwidth for the betterment of City utility services. Such use may include meter reading, energy conservation programs, demand response, future rate designs, micro-grid technology, etc. The portion of bandwidth used, if any, will have no meaningful impact on the speed of the connection. Network users will be notified of use for these purposes. Idaho Falls Fiber will attach, affix and install necessary fiber optic network equipment necessary for the delivery of fiber service to the service address home or business.

 

PERMISSION FOR FIBER OPTIC INSTALLATION

 

If this property is rented or leased and no prior Idaho Falls Fiber service has been installed you may be required to notify and receive permission from your landlord, property owner or lessee for the installation of the network infrastructure equipment required for service.
